Welcome to my novel ideas, a varied mix to match my eclectic creativity, assorted interests and professional passions!
Sarah fell in love with folk tales, myths and legends when she was at primary school and went on to study Classical Civilisations with English Literature at Swansea University. After which, she completed two diplomas in Creative Writing and Creative Writing for Performance, at Bristol University. These encouraged her to write Dion: His Life and Mine as she believes ancient myths have relevance in today’s seemingly modern culture.
‘A strong, character-driven YA novel.
A FINALIST and highly recommended.’ The Wishing Shelf Awards.
In order to further her knowledge of storytelling, Sarah completed an MA in Children’s Literature (distance learning) with Roehampton University. Sarah’s dissertation, which brought together her love of history and her work with young adults, was focused on work written by the author Rosemary Sutcliff. Sarah chose to review ‘The Shield Ring,’ for the NCRCL blog.
Meanwhile, Sarah gained a DELTA and a PGCE and taught English Language & Literature and Film Studies to young ESOL adults.
